Literature Text

The wind softly tousling his hair around was almost all I needed to fall for him.
The night was perfect, save for the police siren in the far distance.
But then, even the imperfections had their place tonight
Around the perfection.
Around Rick.

*****

"Jimmy…" he whispered almost silently,
Though he knew I could hear him,
For had he said nothing,
I still would have known.

"What is it," I asked,
Knowing I'd give it my all
For if he asked me for the world
The world he'd be shown.

"Make me feel real,"
He asked with a wink.
Take my beating ribs from my chest
My lovesick heart would've flown.

"I'll do my best,"
I spoke very quiet,
Though if I'd said nothing
He still would have known.

Skin meeting skin
And heart into heart
He gently took me
Unconcerned  for his own.

"Rick," I smiled softly
As soft as the moonlight
That from the window onto him
A milky light shone.

"What is it, he asked,"
With a voice like purfume
I felt for his hand
Reached for the unknown

"I want to be loved,"
I said in low return
For only with him
I needn't feel alone.

His breathing fell time
With my slackened breaths
His love felt me slowly
Right to the bone.

"But you already are,"
He said through his eyes
Because though he said nothing,
He knew I would know.
I was going to write a story that included Jimmy, Rick and a feather...
>>
But it turned into a poem. I mean, Jimmy and Rick are such poetic people to me, I just had to
Hope you like it, I'm kinda proud of it I guess (:

They work well. I've always liked the whole idea of an 'I want to be loved-you already are' thing, if that makes sense. Well done! :D
